Corona American Legion – Community-Focused Social Media Management

Instagram & Facebook

The Corona American Legion is a nonprofit veterans organization focused on supporting veterans, honoring service, and staying actively involved in the local community. Social media plays an important role in raising awareness, promoting events, and encouraging new member involvement.

For this project, I provide ongoing social media management through a collaborative process. The organization captures photos and videos from meetings, events, and community activities, which are then sent to me for editing, caption writing, and posting across Instagram and Facebook. While a small number of branded graphics were created as part of the content mix, much of the strategy centers around short-form video, with a strong emphasis on reels.

Reels are used to highlight community events, organizational updates, and moments of connection in a way that feels authentic and engaging. This balanced approach—combining edited reels with select graphic posts—helps the Legion maintain a consistent presence while strengthening visibility and community engagement.
